Brendan Dowling focuses on Corporate Trust work, principally in relation to Employee Benefit Trusts and Family Benefit Trust structures. He has specialised more recently in cash based sub trust arrangements. He works closely with UK Tax Advisors and Tax Counsel in ensuring that these types of structures are set up and administered in accordance with the most up to date tax advice.
He has managed and administered employee benefit trust and family benefit trust arrangements for a wide variety of clients ranging from large institutional banks, FTSE 100 companies, AIM listed companies and large private businesses. Brendan works closely with corporate clients, tax specialists and trust beneficiaries developing long lasting relationships. He ensures the trusts and plans we administer on their behalf are managed efficiently in a consultative and proactive manner.
Brendan has ten years experience in employee benefit trusts. Prior to joining Appleby in 2008, he was Associate Director at a leading bank-owned trust company in Jersey, where he managed their Employee Benefits Team.
Educated in Ireland, Brendan qualified as a Management Account in November 1995, and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
